About Phones with Wireless Charger: This gives you convenience to move about without dealing with messy wires or sit near your charging socket while its being charged. Simply placing your phone on the wireless charger gets the charging mode activated and continue using it in landscape or portrait mode over a short distance without cables. More of the advantages of wireless charging is that it’s quicker and easier, as you don’t have to plug and unplug each time – you just place your device on top of your wireless charging pad. It also looks neater.

When you determine your phone has wireless charging built in or you’ve added it with an accessory, you just need a wireless charger. Plenty of Qi wireless chargers are available, in different sizes, shapes and colours.

What is Qi

Qi is a wireless phone charging technology pronounced as “Chee” that is built into many new phones that allows charging over (very) short distances without cables.  It is an open interface standard that defines wireless power transfer using inductive charging over distances of up to 4 cm (1.6 inches), and is developed by the Wireless Power Consortium. If your phone have this Qi inbuilt, you will need the wireless charger adapter.

If your phone is on the above list, then you don’t need a universal adapter or a wireless charger. para-venture if it isn’t listed, you will need to get a universal adapter and a wireless charger. Especially for phones with Lightning ports (e.g. iPhone) and  Micro USB ports (e.g. Android)

It is your choice to chose an external adapter, that hangs outside the phone and an internal adapter, which slides into the back of a case. In most cases, internal adapters are recommend, See picture above.
